Empowering Recovery Through Employment
At WestCare GulfCoast, we believe that meaningful employment is a powerful step toward lasting recovery and self-sufficiency. Our Workforce Development Program, supported by a SAMHSA grant, is designed to help clients who have experienced substance use and mental health challenges who are now ready to rebuild their lives through work to pursue career growth, and achieve long-term financial stability.
This workplace readiness training program provides participants with the tools, training, and confidence needed to successfully enter in some cases, or re-enter, the workforce. We focus on both the soft skills and practical job skills that are essential for job and career longevity, building a strong foundation for future career success.

Incentives include:
- $2,400–$4,800 in tax credits during the first year of employment
- Up to $9,000 in credits over two years for eligible hires
- No cap on the number of qualifying employees hired
